Jamin is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario and has been supporting individuals, couples, families, and children for over ten years. She is passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients from diverse backgrounds feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges.
Jamin holds a Master of Arts in Community Counselling and a Post Master’s Certificate in Marriage & Family Therapy from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, USA. She has also pursued specialized training in Play Therapy and trauma-focused care, equipping her to work effectively with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing emotional and psychological distress.
Jamin integrates various evidence-based modalities in her work, tailoring therapy to each client’s needs. She is a strong proponent of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on how thoughts influence emotions and behaviors. She also incorporates family systems theory, trauma-informed approaches, and play therapy techniques to foster healing and growth.
With specialized training in Play Therapy, Jamin works with children as young as four years old, helping them express emotions, process trauma, and develop healthy coping mechanisms in a developmentally appropriate way. She also provides parenting support and family therapy to strengthen relationships and improve communication within the home.
