The first appointment that you book will be the consultation/assessment appointment. During this visit, the Chiropractor will:

What can you expect when you come see a Chiropractor in Caledon, Ontario?

  • Go over your complaint.
  • Ask you a set of history questions to get a detailed understanding of your concerns.
  • With your consent, perform a hands-on physical examination with special diagnostic tests to figure out the source of pain. This can include:
    • Joint Function Testing
    • Muscle Function Testing
    • Orthopedic Tests
    • Neurological Examination
  • Next, they will go over a Report of Findings to explain the history and physical examination findings.
    • Explain the diagnosis/clinical impression based on the assessment.
    • Provide a detailed explanation of the treatment options available.
    • Make any necessary referrals to another regulated health care professional if needed.
    • Make any necessary referrals for diagnostic imaging if needed.
  • Finally, they will discuss the Informed Consent to Care form prior to beginning treatment.

If any diagnostic imaging/referrals to another health care professional is not needed, the Chiropractor may use the remaining time for providing treatment.

The subsequent appointments will be shorter in time, but the Chiropractor will use the time to do a quick assessment to assess how you have been doing between appointments and provide treatment.
